A day in the life at Access Oslo

It’s 10 a.m., and Svein Ove Brekke, Operations Manager at Access Oslo, has been at work since 7 a.m. His first task of the day is already complete: coordinating breakfast catering for a plane arriving at the Norwegian Armed Forces base opposite Access Oslo’s FBO at Gardermoen. The request came late the previous evening, and Svein Ove’s night-shift colleague promptly sent the order to the supplier. By 9 a.m., everything the flight crew required was ready.

“Last-minute requests are common, but we are used to it. In almost every case, we manage to deliver exactly what the customer needs,” says Svein Ove.

Planning for the unexpected

A “regular shift” in executive handling is never truly regular. Svein Ove begins by ensuring all lounges are in top condition and reviewing the day’s schedule. While plans are meticulously prepared, operational reality often differs.

“Hours are spent planning in advance, but bookings, weather, or last-minute changes can always affect the day. In this industry, it’s essential to plan for the unexpected,” Svein Ove explains.

“We always strive to solve challenges in the best way for our customers, and they often appreciate the flexibility and service we provide.”

Seamless service from start to finish

At Access Oslo, the priority is seamless service from arrival to departure. Since its founding in 2015 by commercial pilot Aleksander Aaland, the company has grown into a full-service operator at Gardermoen and Torp FBOs, handling everything from private jets and ambulance flights to military, state, and diplomatic operations. Beyond our FBOs, Access Oslo facilitates operations across the Nordic region, managing passengers, luggage, fuel, catering, transport, and even special requests such as clean linens or curated experiences.

“At smaller airports, we act as the link between the client and local staff. Language barriers, cultural differences, and irregular operating hours can make planning challenging for foreign operators,” Svein Ove notes.

“Clients can rely on us to arrange everything in one place, and we often visit airports in advance to ensure all is ready before they arrive.”

From on-site to off-site trip support and supervision, we coordinate executive, ambulance, military, and state flights, ensuring every operation meets the highest standards.

Expertise that makes a difference

Svein Ove, a helicopter pilot with extensive aviation experience, exemplifies Access Oslo’s approach: employing staff with aviation backgrounds ensures that our team understands the needs of flight crews while maintaining the highest professional standards.

“The unpredictability of our work keeps every day exciting. Even amidst constant calls and emails, knowing we provide a safe, efficient, and high-quality service for our customers makes it all worthwhile,” Svein Ove concludes with a smile.

At Access Oslo, every detail matters. From small gestures to complex logistics, we deliver flexible, professional, and reliable service, ensuring that every client experience, whether at our FBOs or across the Nordic region, is handled with precision and care.
